Change one thing and everything can change

Have you been thinking about starting a meditation practice?

Have you ever been given advice that is really broad and you just don’t know where to start? Or advice that seems too overwhelming to actually commit do, so you just don’t do anything?⁠

You don’t need to overhaul your whole life in one go. I’m aaaaalll about making small, achievable and practical changes. Because you are more likely to continue doing them, they will actually stick in the long term and you can build on them as time goes on.⁠

So if you have been meaning to try meditation, try starting small with 2 minutes of deep breathing as soon as you wake up in the morning. Or at night, do a 5 min guided meditation to drift off to sleep.⁠

Want to eat more healthily? Start by just improving your afternoon snack. Or just a couple of mornings a week swap a processed breakfast cereal for an omelette.⁠

Been thinking you need to join a gym to get fit? Maybe start with a daily 15 min walk.⁠

Small and simple things, but done repeatedly, over time add up to huge change!⁠

My meditation practice has always been rather ad-hoc, so I am committing to sitting down with myself every day – no matter how long for, but I’m going to do it every day.⁠
