The Powerful Effects of Grounding

Grounding (or earthing) is one of the most simple yet powerful things we can do to improve our health.

 

The surface of the earth is covered in negative ions - the good ones! The human body is an energetic conduit and gets an infusion of negative ions just by the direct contact of skin on the earth.

 

Studies show the benefits of grounding include reduced inflammation and pain, faster healing, an elevated immune system, balanced nervous system, improved sleep, improved cortisol levels, decreased stress and improved circulation. Whoah!

Grounding at the beach

It’s also a great way to rebalance the energy centres of the body - especially the root chakra.

Think of mumma earth's surface as your "battery" and charge yourself up by standing or sitting with your bare skin on natural surfaces like grass, rock or sand for at least 10 minutes each day.

Bonus points if you include water - like dewy grass, rain or the shoreline.

It's a daily non-negotiable for me!
